Pagosa Springs - Located at 7200 ft in elevation. Home of Wolf Creek Ski Resort, Pagosa Peak Mountain and The Springs Resort to soak. Pagosa is filled with beautiful lakes and the San Juan River running through downtown Old Pagosa Springs. It is a small but mighty town. Mostly quiet until around 4th of July through the Summer and then again, as soon as the Powder sets on the mountain. Pagosa Springs has that small town charm with all of the amenities you are used to in the larger mountain towns. Don't miss a leisurely hike up to Treasure Falls and don't forget the unsalted peanuts for the chipmunks!Â
Durango - Located at 6500 ft in elevation. Home to Purgatory Ski Resort, Durango/Silverton Train Station and Fort Lewis College. Durango is a college town with the hustle and bustle of thriving mountain town buzz. Saturated in Art and Music as well as an abundance of outdoor activities including river rafting, mountain biking and seasonal festivals. If you are looking for a little to live in an area closer resembling to small city, this is the place for you!Â
Bayfield - Bayfield is located between Pagosa Springs and Durango. It is more of an agricultural area filled with ranches and mountain homes on acreage with some scattered subdivisions throughout. It proudly boasts areas including Vallecito Lake and year round views of the San Juan Mountain range. Only 18 miles from Durango, it is a perfect area to be rural yet close to a larger town for the amenities.Â
